Reimagining leisure space in houses...
We’re excited to share a recently completed project that rethinks how specialist leisure spaces can be integrated into the home.
This scheme combines a single‑storey rear extension with a purpose‑designed split level ground floor to house a full golf simulator. Instead of increasing the building’s mass above ground — we introduced a dropped slab to achieve the exact clearances and proportions required. The result is a technically precise space that performs flawlessly without compromising the home’s external scale.
At ground level, the extension becomes a social hub, complete with a bar, shuffleboard and custom seating. It’s a space designed for gathering, relaxing and enjoying year‑round entertainment, whatever the weather.
This project highlights how thoughtful level changes and smart spatial planning can unlock specialist uses while maintaining architectural restraint. A great example of design working harder, not bigger.
