New Site Under Way

Sometimes, planning can be a battle.

An application to vary a planning condition relating to layout and materials was supported by the planning officers and recommended for approval.  Unfortunately, an objection forced the application to committee where councillors voted against the recommendations of their own planning officers and urban design team.

At the subsequent appeal, the Planning Inspector acknowledged that the applicant had constructively consulted with the council and their Urban Designer, and that the proposed materials, architectural design and layout would be entirely compatible with the surrounding area.  The inspector determined in our client’s favour, Four Shires Contracting.
